Does anyone know which antenna port on the KPC650 the 'Kerocera KPC650 Cable Adapter' that is sold by boosterantenna.com fits (white, black or both)?

| Thank you! Couldyou please define 'antenna diversity' as you used it in your post? |

I have read this post, and I understand that the right port desables the other port as well as the internal antenns. This would seem to make a two antenna setup non benificial.
I work on a ship on the great lakes. We get a good distance off the 'beach' so gain is the name of the game. Any recommendations on a good setup for us? |

We're of the understanding that antennas plugged into both ports provide diversity send/receive, which indicates that they are both active when both used (see earlier posts by forum member Zorog). Diversity antenna setups can help with multi-path and while moving. I have yet to test this personally.
A marine omni mounted as high as possible on the ship would be ideal, wired with Times Microwave LMR400 coax, point to point.
Booster-Antenna.com has been reviewing marine antennas and will shortly carry one, along with mounting hardware, cables and RF adapters to connect your EVDO card's "pigtail".

I reread this post, and see what I missed. I now understand your use of diversity. I will have to experiment with the ports a little myself to duplicate your results.
Thank you for all your halp. |
