| Go to http://192.168.1.1 and log in and it will show the signal strength - it only shows it as Poor / Good / Excellent however. |

Slug,
That's a good question, I am not sure you can. If you can it would probably only be available through the Linksys admin console.
Your computer is now on a network and not directly talking to the
card, i asume you are wanting the antenna strengh meter? Don't think you can view that once you stuff the card into the linksys.
I had an s620, just got my s720 which I am oin as I type and I got my linksys 2 days ago.
If I finda way i will let you know.
I use sites like http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/ and http://www.speedtest.net/ to test my throughput. That ussally is a good indicator considering that is what you really want, how fast can I down and up data.
If I find something I will let you know, havent played much with the linksys admin console yet. |

| thanks for the respones. Yes I was talking about the actual sprint signal. I just got the linksys router yesterday. It seems like the newest firmware update for the KR1 would allow to see the db of the card. |

| Signal strength doesn't work for my Novatel Merlin S720 card in the Linksys. What else doesn't it work for, and does it work for any card in this router? |

|

I have had the router about 2 weeks and service for a bit over a month. When I first began to use the router with the 720 single strength was displayed, but then I started to have problems with the card not being visible to the router and when it was and working the signal strength would display "no signal".
Anyway after several quality hours on the phone with sprint a new card headed my way and all is good. Just hope this card lives for more than a few days.

I took my S720 out of the Linksys and put it in my laptop. I installed the new CM software and got it connected. When I put it back into the Linksys I now am getting a "Excellent" signal. I dont know why maybe they updated something on the card with the latest CM. Might want to test this out if you are experianceing the same issues like I was. Still cant tell if I am on Rev A or Rev 0 (well I know im still in Rev 0 coverage) but it would be nice if it at least told me that.
Hope this helps |

Thought I'd give this a bump. Maybe somebody at Linksys watches this forum?
I have the 3G router, and I like it very much with only 2 exceptions, this is the major one. The absence of a signal strength reading is a flaw in my view. In a mobile environment, especially when you have cards capable of operation in 3 modes (x1, EVDO-O, EVDO-A) and roaming having a signal strength and mode indication is needed.
So linksys, if you're listening, this would be a great addition to the next firmware upgrade

| Look how long it took to get this firmware upgrade, and it didn't even seem to fix the upload issue everyone talks about. |
