| So with 1xRTT you can flop around the data rates (timeslices?) so that it is split to either balance or favor outbound speeds. Has anyone found a way to do something similar with EVDO cards? |

I'd be happy to know how to do it with 1xRTT. Any info on this?
For some of the things I do, a synchronous (72kbits each way) would be real useful. |

On my phone get thy into test mode.
Field Test: [Menu] 073887 * (you will need the security code -- try 000000)
(_(_(Info Found at Gecko Beach http://www.geckobeach.com/cellular/secrets/mot_secrets.asp )_)_)
Find *Data Rates*
Then *Select*
Data Rates will be set to 153.6/153.6 SAY WHAT? Whoa this is interesting that option didn't used to exist on my old phones, this one is new, it used to be 144.4/33.6 or something like that! OOops! Well see what your phone says and check the options, 76.8/76.8, potentially makes for better outbound. On my old phone I'm remembering that there was an option to split it favoring the second number which I take to be outbound.
Then again I haven't done this in a very long time and I'm ALL confused after seeing 153.6/153.6 on this new phone. Packet detail says that this really is the forward and reverse rate! I don't use the phone for data and don't have a cable for it so can't test. |

Pretty cool and thanks for the reply.
Now I need to figure this out for a PC5220 card, unless someone has done it already. |
