|
|
Hi! I just started mobile Internet service a couple of days ago with Inland Cellular. The salesman told me that I would get service as long as I could get Digital signal (I have strong Digital service at my house, but it's not 1x). They gave me a Kyocera KPC650, which I have installed successfully in a Micron Transport Trek 2 (Pentium II, 300 MHz, 256 MB Ram). I also installed it in another Transport Trek 2 which I believe is also at least Pentium II and has a faster processor (it's not here at the moment, so I can't give definite specifics).
The problem I'm having is when I try to connect. I push the Connect button, and I get the following message:
Navigator 2
Failed to Connect! The remote computer did not respond. For further assistance, click More Info or search Help and Support Center for the error number.
I've looked everywhere (Kyocera website, Google, and here), and I can't find my issue. In the "About" tab of the software, here is some of what I think is the pertinent information:
Hardware Revision: (blank)
Firmware Revision: AK1.0.14
PRL version: 41109
ERI version: 0
Activated: yes
Security lock: no
capabilities 1xEVDO/1xRTT
RSSI: -90 dBm
Thanks in advance for any advice or suggestions! |

As an update to my previous post, I installed the software and card in my mom's modern-day laptop (as opposed to my two old junkers), and I experienced the exact same error problem. She's also in a solidly 1x reception area.
I hope to talk with a tech guy from Inland Cellular tomorrow, but if anyone else has any ideas, I'd appreciate them.
Also, any possibility of creating a newbie section on the forum?
Thanks! |

Hate to dig up an old post, but I am getting the same error...and I can't find anything either to fix it...
Wazzu: did you ever get a solution to this you can pass on?
This is my second card this week to have this problem and no one seems to know why...
Anyone with some suggestions? |
