My previous setup was the s620 with my kr1, I was upgraded to the s720 at my company. Will this have any effect on my macbook being able to get online?

Scotts right that when using the S720 in your KR1, it will be slower than using the S720 in a windows laptop... but it does actually work in the KR1.

You will still be able to connect to the KR1 with your macbook. The use of an S720 in the KR1 doesn't change that part of its functionality.
