What conditions normally make using EVDO a "good" choice to use at home?
Currently I have 3 computers wired into my router plus one wireless laptop. I don't stream much video/audio. I'm currently being supplied by my cable company who has proven to be VERY unreliable and expensive recently. I don't have DSL in my area right now so it comes down to cable internet or EVDO.
I have EVDO on my cell phone which gets 2 bars inside my house with Verizon. Is that an issue? I'm thinking about the possibility of getting a datacard plan plus replacing my router with on that supports the data card. I have a voip box in which I RARELY make calls from.
What lead you guys for relying on EVDO at home exclusively? At $59.99 a month for unlimited access plus the expensive router, it's definately not any cheaper than cable internet unless I'm miscalculating something...
