Since the comparison chart states that there is not an auto adapter for this router, I want to share some updated information. I was able to find the correct auto adapter at Radio Shack. The sales person was not helpful, but I had found the adapter on line, so I was able to find it myself in the store. It works perfectly, and I ate my lunch next to one of Minneapolis' many lakes while sending email!! Yea. We are delighted.

How about sharing the model info, etc.
Did you leave your car running while using the adapter or does it work off the battery when your car is not running, which would drain the car battery. |

The car adapter that I am using is 273-1818, and it is called A Radio Shack Universal 2500mA DC Power adapter. It comes with several tips, and the blue one is the one that works for us.
It should be easy to find.
And no, my car will not run it while off. The car has to be running. I am not yet certain about my husband's car, but I think it is the same.
Hope this helps.

Here's a post to this forum that will provide some answers for you and suggest methods of using batteries to power your wireless router.
Do a page search for "house battery" or else read the entire page.
Also click the search button above and use battery as the search word for more interesting topics on this forum. |

| Whether or not a cigarette lighter adapter works with the car off depends on the vehicle itself. My volkswagen always has power to the cigarette lighter, but my subaru does not. |
