Anyone know how to backup the firmware on one of these routers? I have a verizon WRT54G3G beta model which works great with verizon cards and has all the functionality of this sprint model. I'd like to backup the firmware on that and load it on one of my sprint models to verify that they are the same units (and be able to use my VZW card)
Thanks |

Can you tell me what firmware revision you're using? And what verizon card you have?
I have a Verizon PC5740 card and am trying to determine whether I can use it with a Linksys WRT54G3G-ST... no definite answers yet. I see that Sprint has a PC5740 card which looks like the same product and is compatible with the WRT54G3G-ST. Anybody tested this combo on the Verizon side? |

| I thought there was only one firmware version for the router. |

If you purchased the WRT54G3G-ST from us, we send you a CD with the latest firmware (comes with your router), so you automatically have a backup
As soon as a new firmware is released, we will update the CDs we send out AND notify customers who purchased of the new firmware release. _________________ EVDO :: EVDO News :: EVDO Antennas :: Buy Verizon :: Buy Sprint :: EVDO Amplifier |

And if it didn't come from you ? I haven't looked, but does the linksys CD still have the firmware on it somewhere ?
I just checked, I didn't see any firmware files on the CD that comes with the unit.

| After speaking with Linksys, they told me the firmware belongs to Sprint so unless Sprint gives it to them and tells them to post it on their site, they won't apparently. They don't even have the 2.00.4 firmware that's shipped on the box. Weird |

Doenload the updates here. Select Windows XP. Drivers for the U720 and the Mac can be downloaded by selecting Mac OS X. |

| I already have the update. That wasn't what I was saying. I was saying that Linksys doesn't have the update on their site because they're saying Sprint owns it and unless Sprint tells them to post it they won't/cant. |
