Hello, I was wondering if there is an interior or exterior booster antenna for a Axesstel AXW-D800 / AXW-D1900 /AXW-D450 modem.
As you can see in the picture the modem has two antennas one antenna is for sending/receiving and the other is only for receiving.
It would be awesome if I could find a booster antenna for this modem because I could have 2 antennas on diferent locations for the best reception. |

| Thank you for the response. The modem is desiged for 1xEV-DO 800mhz and 1900mhz frequencies also if I detach the antennas the connector looks like its a FME Male Connector (on the antenna end). |

For those frequencies any dual band antenna will do it . Wilson antennas have FME female connecters . It looks like your unit will have fme female as well . Our antennas have TNC Male adapters. A good place to deterime what you have is ww.eur-am.com . They have a full grid of pictures so you can look and compare. I know the units I have worked with similar to yours actually had TNC female connecters on it so our antennas connected directly |

| Thanks for the info, I'll check the website to be sure which conector does the modem use. |

Hi:
I have the same modem with some signal issues. What antenna are you using now? Is it worth it?
I would appreciate your comments and advice.

Maximum, could you please provide me information about that antenna? I'm also from PR, having signal issues, and I'm using the same type of equipment pictured here; I guess many have the same modem since one of the island major companies offering wireless internet provides them (modems) free to their customers. I know these modems go up to 2.4M, but I'm still stuck at 300K or around, need the extra speed. Please advice.
Thanks in Advance!!! |

Hey Maximum,
I also have the same model of modem and confronting the same problems (can't get passed 300KB). Looking for some sort of solution. TX: 1850.00~1909.95Mhz RX: 1930.00~1989.95Mhz. Righthand side antenna is used for Rx and Tx while the one on the left is for Rx only.
Thanks!!! |

|
|
Hi,
The speed or bandwidth is not allways dependent on the signal strenght. I have a green light signal all the time, but my speed is less than 300Kb where I live. I have an AXW-D1900 and sell contracts for a local provider. We have used external yagi antennas with great results. For those who live in Puerto Rico, I have been testing around the Island and found that the areas with better speeds are from Yauco, all the West to Mayaguez. I got speeds between 700Kb and 1.9Mb.
Right now I have a problem with my modem, I cannot access it through the ethernet port. Asses-tel told me that the service provider has to give it a total reset and reprogram it, but they say that it is non-repairable. I think that they don't know how to do it. If anybody has an idea, please, let me know. Thanks. |

| Don't change the DHCP or IP in your AXW-D1900, for some reason it get locked through the ethernet port. Some of my customers have had that problem. I got mine back on the air!! |
