Try leaving the user name blank and "admin" for the password, IIRC.

Good luck!

Don't forget to change the admin password and username or you will leave your router open to changes by anyone passing by. Also use the option to hide the wifi from others.

Has anyone tried the KR-1 vs the Linksys in a Rev A environment with the RK1008 firmware in the KR-1?

Just wondering if there is a difference

We have received emails from customers that are using RK1008 + S720 in a Rev A area and they were seeing 1100Kbps/300Kbps speeds, so it does work very well in Rev A areas.

I run the combination listed above, and all works great -

Except - every hour or so (generally more) the system disconnects from the network. Cycling power resets fine, but sometimes that is in the middle of a download... That makes a mess...

Anyone know how to stop the disconnect cycle? I tried maxing the timeout in the admin web page. And tried to zero the timeout in the admin web page (you can't - it will not accept a zero). Nothing seems to make a difference.

Help?

Thanks - Doug

I have been having identical troubles with the WRT54G3G router and the PC5740 aircard with Sprint. I have not been able to find any resolution, nor have I managed to luck into anything. I have tried timeout changes with no results. I have on occasion managed to make up to 12 hours, but usually it is more like 4 hours.

Anybody found a resolution, yet?

I received my WRT54G3G-ST router and AC595 on Tuesday, and have not had any problems or (knock on wood, or my head) drops at all. I work from home all the time, and been up 48 hours straight. Good Rev 0 signal, no Rev A available in my area yet, which is Northern Kentucky. Had no vpn problems either. Not bad for something that isn't suppose to work or be supported Smile

What is your 3G-ST's firmware version? What about AC595 firmware version?

Here is the firmware I have for both:

For the card:
p1905001,20224 [Sep 21 2006 15:43:22],, VID: PID:

For the router I have:
v2.00.4, Aug. 9, 2006

I did the update for the card, but have not checked or done any updates for the router since I was having good luck, decided not to do that.

Do any of you folks know if you need to activate the S720 card on the same computer that the router will be connected to or can you activate it on any computer with a PCMCIA slot and then plug it into the router which will then be connected to a totally different computer?

I just purchased this wrt54g3g from Sprint Broadband.
It works just fine... But i have a question that the tech support agents cant help me with. And im not a networking guru, but i know enuf and know hwo to follow directions.
The the thing works fine, but i want to run that Sprint thing to my netgear
http://www.netgear.com/Products/VPNandSSL/WiredVPNFirewallRouters/FVS318.aspx
and then im going to run my netgear to a regular linksys router that broadcasts wireless and has more portts.
Bu the questioin at hand atm is, how can i get the Sprint Broadband thingy to broadcat to the netgear only.. Or basically just act like a modem..no one is gonna connect directly to the sprint broadband,. If anything, i may have a couple conect to the Netgear, and the rest to my other linksys router that i run from the netgear. Anyone know how to do it.?? Hopefully i explained my self correctly.
