| I did some looking and I can't confirm or deny that there's going to be an announcement yet as I found no info posted. I'm off on the 22nd but if nothing's posted here I'll have another look in the news at work when I get into the office on the 23rd. |

| As accutronman just posted there will be 13 additional cities to go live. The word I've been hearing on the intranet is this will go into effect within the next few weeks or so. |

| Funnily no city from CA has been included here though we have been hearing about EVDO being active for a few weeks now in downtown SFO. Also San Antonio is already active. |

Yes, the list is much larger, AND many cities that were part of the 30 city phase 3 rollout are getting much better coverage (e.g. more suburbs, more sites, better coverage).
The only strange thing, is that Verizon is releasing press releases for new cities day by day, vs. all at once. Perhaps they will get better PR and the rollout will last longer by doing it this way.
For example, they had a press release today announcing Richmond Virginia, San Antonio the other day. So maybe their plans changed, or they are announcing and rolling out coverage for an extended period of time. _________________ EVDO :: EVDO News :: EVDO Antennas :: Buy Verizon :: Buy Sprint :: EVDO Amplifier |

| I think the reference is to the letter talked about in the posting by accutronman on June 20 - see his posting above. |

It amazes me how Sprint is kicking our butts at deploying EVDO. We are loosing more customers on a daily basis than I care to share due to Verizon's lacksy-daisy approach to EVDO deployment. These are customers that are locked into a agreement with Sprint and will not be available for us to reclaim for 1 to 2 years.
Let get a move on Verizon!!
Simultaneously with ACTION (actually and aggressively deploying EVDO rather than just talking about it) we need marketing to start advertising EVDO's accompanying feature set (VCast and BroadBandAccess) in clever ways.
Now is the time to seize the market share. I am not all about just beating the compitition (Sprint). I am all about crushing them!

From my point of view, Verizon is the one kicking Sprint's butt right now. They have a huge lead in deployment. Sprint hasn't even announced EVDO, all they have done is announced that they are going to announce it. You can purchase an AirCard 580 or Novatel S620 from Sprint today, BUT coverage isn't there yet. I think the next 6 months will be very interesting. From my scorecard, Verizon is in the lead right now.
The REAL winners will be us customers, especially as there is EVDO competition in the marketplace. _________________ EVDO :: EVDO News :: EVDO Antennas :: Buy Verizon :: Buy Sprint :: EVDO Amplifier |
