Just found that Sony Ericsson has a combo EDGE and Wifi card in one. This isn't EVDO, but I imagine that an combo EVDO and WifI PC card cannot be too far behind. With newer laptops, many of them have integrated WiFi, but for those laptops that do not have built-in WiFi, I think a combo card would be a big seller.

Comments?

It would be nice if they'd make sure that radios are able to be operated simultaneously and separately addressable so that ICS or similar methods would allow you to operate your laptop as a bridge/access point.

Using ICS on my Thinkpad X40 (as an access point via the v620 and the internal 802.11g chipset) was a big hit with the extended family at the beach house last week, even at the 1xRTT speeds.

Good point. It is nice to be able to share your EVDO over WiFi. Once, this product actually exists, we can find out if this will work Smile
