So I've read about the EVDO thing a little bit becasue today the little red box that says EV poped up in my coverage area spot. I have a RAZR and I was very confused, because for the past week I have been having internet and axcess problems like everyone else around me who has the service. But I'm still confused and would like someone to explain why I have this icon because I thought it was just in Tampa FL.

Hello,

It just means that Verizon is in the process of upgrading your area to EVDO, which means you can get VCAST on your Razr, or BroadbandAccess on your RAZR or BroadbandAccess Card.

According to the map (9/18/2006), your area is a future coverage area, it may mean that future is just around the corner.

OOPS, you are right, I didn't notice this was the AllTell forums - sorry. BUT the answer still applies, they may be (or already have) added EVDO (or perhaps EVDO Roaming is being tested).
