Maybe someone else can verify this:
I note that the ping function, available under the prefs:network log as
ping <hostname> -b <num bytes> -l <num loops>
or
PingEvt <number> <hostname> -b <num bytes> -l <num loops>
never succeeds if the the "b" number is odd or if it is greater than 996.
Perhaps this is related to a tcp/ip setting. I tried it on a 'stock' 700P.
I can understand an upper limit on the ping length as that is a potential DOS attack method but the no-odd-values would seem to be a bug.
Is this an already-known bug of the 700p or perhaps of the Palm OS?
