Works great for quite a few hours on end, then all of the sudden blue screens on me. I also changed the com ports to higher virtual ones (to ensure it was not a com port conflict issue happening potentially). The main problem is there is no noticeable application running at the same time or period of time when the bsod occurs.
From the eventlog:
Error code 000000fe, parameter1 00000005, parameter2 821b90e0, parameter3 10330035, parameter4 822e1180.
If anyone has any ideas on what would be causing this please post. |

After a bit more research into this it seems as though from other reports this is something being caused by an incompatability with another chipset that's common in AMD hardware (with a bit of searching came across someone reporting it happening in both an athlon and a turion laptop). The laptop I'm running this novatel S720 in is a turion HP dv8210us.
Does anyone know of a patch/updated drivers being released possibly that resolves this issue? Obviously turning the speed/baud down is not an option as that negates having the newer card in the first place.
After a bit more hunting yet, just wanting to note that I ended up upgrading the BIOS firmware on the laptop as it was reported that with updating BIOS it might fix this issue (one of the people who had this problem reported resolving it with a bios flash/update). |
