Michael, are you taking pre-order for this or do you anticipate enough supply? |

I got my 595U from sprint yesterday (April 21st, 07). Was going for the $99.00 dollar one and they were out of stock so the manager sold me the 595U for the same price.
Got home easy to install and get running. (running windowsXP home)
I ran some generic tests on it and without any tweaks its running 590kbps. Not to bad when my home cable connection runs roughly 384kbps.
Now I'm searching for tweaks. I have heard this thing can push 700kbps???
I am extremely happy with this USB card.
The only down side I have found is I dont like the way it sticks 3" up from the side of my laptop. Sure it has a docking station but that kinda defeats being wireless!!!
I cant wait to get it out in the field and try it!!! |

| Using the docking station may improve your speeds since the cable between the computer and the docking station acts as an antenna. |

Did a quick check and they are available in "our" order system.
We will know more Monday am about availability. Since they are available in our order system - there shouldn't be any availability problems.
We will update our order forms today and start taking orders today.
Price is $129.99 (2 year contract) - $50 mail-in rebate, net cost = $79.99 _________________ EVDO :: EVDO News :: EVDO Antennas :: Buy Verizon :: Buy Sprint :: EVDO Amplifier

Michael,
I wish I would have found your site before I bought mine. You guys definitely have better prices. I gave $108.00 (Sprint in store claiming retail price $259.00) out the door, with no rebate. Did only have to reup for a year contract though.
I am interested in the KR1 though. Is the 595U compatible with it? |

I am also interested in a 595U, KR1 and antenna bundle. Please let us know as soon as you find out about compatibility. |

| I just got my 595U from Sprint today. At first I bought the Pantech PX-500 from Sprint, but I could not get it working, so I promptly returned it the next day and bought the newer USB modem, the 595U. Install went smoothly, and latest speed test showed 1163kbps DL and 217kbps UL. |

Any word on the external antenna jack on the new AirCard 595U?
I'm about to "make the leap" to EVDO and I'd like to try the 595U, but I might need an external antenna and I don't want to lose too much of my 30 day trial period waiting a cable that might not exist yet ...

I am just inside 30 days with my Novatel u720 - hitting 1200 most of the time.
The consideration is wether to trade up to the Sierra usb modem.
Any advice is appreciated. |

I'm curious as to why it would be considered a "trade up" to the Sierra usb modem? I have the U720 also and am very happy with it. The only possible advantage I could see with the Sierra card is the docking station (big time cool factor!) and the built in battery since they're both Rev A capable. Personally I have really grown to like the Y-cable set-up since it allows me to get the best possible reception wherever I am because I can easily move it to where it picks up the best. I guess the docking station would do the same. I just don't know that it would be considered an upgrade but instead just personal preference. Well, now that I've rambled I need to decide whether this is a post worthy of posting . . . . or not . . . .. . . . . . . . . . well . . . . . . . . . . WTH |
