| Nope. The KR1 only works with EVDO PC Cards. But the MB6000 and MB8000 will work with your Option Card as well as other Cingular EDGE/UMTS/HSDPA cards. |

Well checked up on the mb6000 and mb8000 . But its twice and three times the price of the kr1 ! That is cool !
Plus I do not like the looks of this pyriamid looking thing.
I like the kr1. Plus the 3g gt max I have just got fits flush in the side of my laptop so there are no issiues with fitting mylaptop into its computer bag. My problem is I need to be able to use it on the computer at the boat which does not have a slot for an aircard. And I have about two hours left on a bid for a kr1 left on ebay.
So why does the gt max not work with the kr1 and and why do they not state so in the inforation details on the kr1 .
And now how do I get out of the ebay bid?
thank for your help ..... |

MB6000 is $399.00 on http://booster-antenna.com/. That is a great price . that is not 2 to 3 times the price of the kr1 , everyone reports that the mb6000 is great . The KR1 does not work on anything but EVDO . The MB6000 works with EVDO , EDGE and HSDPA as well |

Guess what, linksys just my have what I need. Its call the Linksys WRT54G3G wireless router.
I am waiting on a reply back from Linksys to verify.
I found it on ebay but do not want to order from over seas.
Would rather wait and get it from wal-mart if possible. |

You are aware that the Linksys you mention only works with the Vodafone Mobile Connect 3G/UMTS data card, right? Meaning that it lacks modules for the UMTS/HSDPA cards sold here in the states (as well as all the self-configuring code, init strings, etc).
The US version of that Linksys router was shown at this year's CTIA Wireless show in April, yet it will only work with Sprint EVDO cards, not Cingular's HSDPA cards (again, no drivers/modules for other cards).
The MB6000 is currently the least expensive UMTS/HSDPA card router that works with Cingular's HSDPA cards. |

| Yup! Just found out about the Linksys Too! What's the deal with all the HOOPS!! ? All I needed to do was to be able use it with my hp slim line desk top computer on the boat. It only has room for one bay at the bottom rear which it already came out of the box with an eithernet plug there in that location. Plus because of the computer location , it would be hard to insert and remove when I need to take it with me so I can use it in my laptop. It also would not get a very good signal in that location . Now If the computer had the pcmcia wifi card slot at the front along with the other card reader slots I would set. Any ideas ? |
