Okay... I finally received my Passport card and the unlimited nation-wide Alltel plan. I am in an EVDO area and my download speed is great (800-900 kbps) but I can't get my upload speed above 30 kbps. I am using the Speakeasy speedtest currently but have tried others also and had the same results. Anyone have any ideas or hints for me? It's very frustrating since I like to upload photos... I would appreciate any help offered!

your speed is going to depend on your signal strength a booster antenna should help but remember the most you will get with EVDO up is around 128Kbps that’s on a good day standing under a tower.

I have a full signal strength right now and am still getting the 30 kbps for upload. I just find it hard to believe that 30 kbps is going to be the best I will get with a full signal. So far, that's it. I don't think it can get any worse. I know I have a lot to learn on this EVDO and I think I'm learning it the hard way. I'm having to take extra steps (decreasing the size of my photos) just to upload them in a timely manner.

Thanks for the info and I appreciate all the help I can get.

I'm not using the Accelerator Software. The rep told me it would diminish the look of my photos, etc. and he did not recommend it. I will give him a call and see if he can figure out my upload problems. I had the same thoughts that you had in that if the download speed was good the the upload should be good... I'll post again after I chat with Alltel. Thanks!
