| I'm contemplating buying the router because I was just issued a Sprint merlin s620 from work and I'm in the market for a new laptop and I'm pretty dead set on buying a macbook. First of all will the router work with a macbook? Second, there doesn't seem to be a definitive answer on whether or not you can use VPN through this router and I would be using Cisco client...what is the real answer? Any help is much appreciated! |

I am using a MacBook Pro with Boot Camp and the Windows guy at a client sat up VPN to a cisco router using the Macs built in VPN and then used Windows VPN. No Cisco software on the MacBook just what is offered by Apple and Microsoft.
So far, this is using wifi without a cisco router as my S620 won't fit and the Windows 2003 server with Cisco router.
My limited understanding is that a Cisco router on both ends would be best and fastest but that the remote computer can use software only. Others may have a better answer. |

| Well I should have clarified...I plan on using bootcamp or parallels when it comes to remoting into my desktop at work and using VPN through that. I guess I just need to know whether or not this router will work with a macbook. I'm not worried about the Cisco VPN client software as it would be used in bootcamp anyways. |
