This is cool to know. Thanks! |

Is the Rev A going to be a higher tiered service or is it replacing Rev O? I'm in for 2 years so I may as well get the fastest possible! Aside from paying for a new card, that should be it. Right? _________________ This is how the world ends...

Rev A is essentially replacing Rev 0. Rev 0 devices will still work on Rev A network but I doubt Rev 0 and Rev A will be offered as separate tiers at different price points. They can't guarantee that Rev A will have more performance than Rev O in all situations/locations so it would not make sense to charge more for Rev A. If you are outdoors and close to tower with Rev 0 device and indoors and far away with Rev A device, the Rev 0 device may get better performance.
I'd expect Rev A pricing to be the same but I haven't seen any info about pricing yet so who knows. I have heard they'll completely restructure pricing for WiMAX and no longer do subsidized pricing for devices. I doubt they'd restructure Rev A pricing since WiMAX will have a new pricing model.
You'll likely be able to upgrade to a new card, swap ESN and not change the account. But you might have to commit to another 2 years if not paying full price on card.
Verizon has talked about tiered pricing for DO usage - hopefully Sprint is not considering that. |
