I called up the Dell Activation people and asked about the Verizon EVDO service. They offer 2 plan packages. 1 or 2 years - $59.99 if you have a Verizon Cell Phone service already.

Verizon Direct offers $79.99 1 year (even if you have Verizon Cell service), and $59.99 for 2 years if cell phone service (still $79.99 if no cell).

So, if I have Verizon Cell Phone service already, doing the 1-year plan through Dell seems to be better. Especially if the plan prices are expected to drop in the future.

Does anyone notice the difference as such? I thought Dell only resales Verizon's services, how can they offer a different plan????

So, these are the same people who told you the fastest download speed is 80Kbps (and now you believe they know what they are talking about?)

The $59.99 plan is only available if you have a cell phone and you do 2 years. If Verizon offered the $59.99 plan on 1 or 2 year plan, it would MAKE NO SENSE for consumers to get the 2 year, get the one.

But, they don't offer the $59.99/month plan when you do a 1 year, only a 2 year.

They were mistaken.
