Not I. WiMAX is a fun idea but, in its current state, a terrible technology. Comparatively speaking, it will take four WiMAX cell sites to cover the area and provide the same level of service that one 3G CDMA (EVDO) site offers currently. Combine this with the idea that one WiMAX cell site will cost, on average, about $500,000 more than a comparable EVDO site and you're looking at hundreds of billions of dollars in infrastructure upgrades to do little more than double the data rate.
At the end of the day, there isn't much that you can do with WiMAX that will justify the cost of rollout. That's just my opinion, though.  |
