|
|
| Hi, does anyone know if there is any way to hook up the A900 to the KR1 and have it hooked onto power as well, so the battery doesn't discharge? I have seen the combo usb/power cable, but will that would with the KR1 or is that just for laptop use? Thanks! |

| Ok, so I just bit the bullet and bought the cable. It works!!! You can use it to charge your A900 and have it hooked up to the KR1 at the same time. So no battery issues anymore while the A900 is attached to the KR1. |

Does the KR1 have a USB port on its backside?
You mentioned that your Samsung worked while plugged into it. Would it work also if I plugged in a USB hard drive or a printer?
Thanks! _________________ Dell Inspiron 600m w/ Sprint Merlin S620 |

The KR1 is designed to take a tethered phone through its USB port. Not sure about other peripherals but I doubt it. I was just trying to get the phone to charge at the same time, otherwise you could only use the KR1 as long as the phone's battery held up. For the A900 the charging comes from the same port as the USB connection, that was the source of the problem. |

Awesome, I'm glad things worked out for you. I like how my Motorola Q charges and syncs with the mini USB cable. If only I can get it to work as an EVDO modem. I'll have to search the forums later tonight. _________________ Dell Inspiron 600m w/ Sprint Merlin S620 |

My A900 is cool with the charging USB cable from Gomadic.com.
Sprints lowest priced 200 minute/month voice plan combined with the phone-as-modem plan would have been cool at $70/month but my state employee discount brings it all down to about $60/month...excellent. All that and it stores songs like an MP3 player and has an earphone jack too _________________ Sony T250 1.2 Ghz & 17" Powerbook 1.5 Ghz |

| I just purchased an A900 to use with the "phone-as-modem" plan... works great with my MacBook. I use the very convenient Bluetooth connection when I'm just messing around, and hook it up to USB if I know I need more speed than Bluetooth 1.1 can handle. Can't wait until BT 2.0+EDR phones start becoming prolific.... |

| A good tip I got in the A900 was to turn off the GPS function in order to increase battery life. |

Bought the extended life battery and that with the recharging USB cable means battery life is the least of my worries, but thanks for the tip. _________________ Sony T250 1.2 Ghz & 17" Powerbook 1.5 Ghz |
