Maybe it's a bogus Rev 0 result but 2.8Mbps showed up on here. Uplink is 727Kbps. It's a Vegas zipcode. Perhaps a demonstration at a conference.

A little birdie told me that Rev A towers will also help Rev 0 devices.
The chances will be higher that more Rev 0 devices can get over 1Mbps deeper indoors. Rev 0 latency is usually 150-400ms but when talking to a Rev A tower, the chances are better you'll get closer to 150ms indoors. BTW, Rev A can do latency as low as 50ms in ideal situations.
So even though Rev 0 devices can't upgrade to Rev A, you might get more out of Rev 0 when Rev A towers are present. |

It is possible to get about 150ms today, but with Rev A towers, 150ms can still be maintained on Rev 0 devices with even more obstructions and distance.
The results drop off daily when 2 weeks old so constantly shift. Those were the results when I posted that day.
Even more Rev A results are now popping up. The poster claims they are indeed Rev A.

It's a Vegas zipcode so I'd bet it's a demonstration at a conference. Or perhaps a Sprint employee testing Rev A rollout and showing off. They are of course using a Rev A device.
But the word is, Rev A towers will also help get more out of existing Rev 0 devices. Not above Rev 0 specs, but closer to its max capabilities in less ideal conditions. |
