It looks like VZAccess 3.0 will be the version that supports MacBook Pros. This version is also Universal, so it runs natively on MacBook Pro:

Is this verison available for download somewhere? I went to the verizon dl page, but only got the older version. I'm getting the dell card tomorrow and it would be nice to have.

Thanks

The Dell Card comes with Windows XP software. It doesn't appear that you can interchange the Dell and Verizon software.

When you say can't interchange, are you referring to a technical reason? Meaning that the Mac OS software will not work on the Dell card or the you could not ask for the Mac OS drivers with the dell card? The reason I was asking is that I was just hoping to download the Mac version of the access manager from verizon or somewhere and use that with the Dell card.

Thanks

I have already tried running the latest version of VZAccess Manager and it doesn't recognize the Dell Card. Also, the Apple drivers in 10.4.7 do not recognize it either.

Looks like we will all have to wait for the Verizon Novatel V640 card.

Already tried VZAccess 3.0 & Dell 5700 ExpressCard and it didn't work. Apple's 10.4.7 doesn't recognize it either, but it does recognize the Novatel V640. We will do more testing, when the actual Verizon card arrives.

How do the new EVDO cards seat into the MacBook Pro?

My SATA card easily pulls out and I'm worried the EVDO card may be as fragile.

I started a thread on Apple's discussion forums about this, seems lots of users have similar issues.[/url]

You push it in, and it clicks in place, it is now locked in.

To eject, you slightly push again and the card ejects.

Not seeing the problem you describe with the Novatel V640 card

current paying customers who merely want to upgrade and keep giving EVDO.com and Verizon their money are given the short stick. Don't know that I am surprised, but I am disappointed.

So now that the card is official, can you comment on MacBook Pro compatibility? Is it natively supported in 10.4.7 or does it require other drivers? If other drivers are required are they included/available?

I have my Novatel v640 ExpressCard (it arrived from Verizon directly yesterday) and I cannot get it to work with my MacBook Pro.

The software is slick and seems like everything will work - and then I get errors with the Internet Connect app in Mac OS X.

Essentially stating that it is dis-connecting as a carrier cannot be found. Can anyone provide any help here?
