Hi,

I have a 800mhz range yagi on my Airstream but yesterday I switched
cell providers and need a 1900mhz antenna. I am going to order a
dual band yagi but don't have time as I am leaving for a trip tomorrow.
My question...

Is it possible for me to convert my 800mhz range antenna to a 1900mhz
one by using a hack saw and changing the element lengths?

here is the antenna I currently have:
http://www.alternativewireless.com/cellular-antennas/wilson-antennas/wilson_yagi_antenna.html

This may be impossible as the distance between the elements may come
into play and prevent this conversion.... But since I'm buying a new one
after this trip I don't mind taking a chance.

If its possible, how long should each element be to make it work for
1900mhz?

Thanks!

You would be better off purchasing the correct antenna. Element length (both directors and relector) and spacing are different between 800 and 1900 MHz yagis, as is the part the collects the signal to get it onto the coax cable (called a driven element).
