I've been with Sprint for many years, and plan to purchase the EVDO for aour travels in the RV. My wife and I each have a laptop, and I was wondering if the EVDO card can be moved from one computer to another without having to buy two services from Sprint. Anyone done this? Thanks.

I move my card from Verizon between laptops no problem . As long as the software is installed on each computer it should work fine |

My wife and I travel full-time in a motorhome and, like you, each of us has a computer. For a while we tried the swapping card routine, but that was a hassle (kind of like fighting over the TV remote). We then went to ICS with the card in my computer. Again, a hassle, as the host computer had to be up and running for the client to use the net.
But now, all is solved with the advent of the KR-1 router. The KR-1 plus a Wilson Trucker cell antenna combined with a CA-819 cell amplifier from Maximumsignal allows us to connect without any hassle.
We now have Internet just about everywhere. In fact, we are today in Faulkton, South Dakota where we have no Cingular cell phone service but we have a great Verizon Internet connection (1xRTT).

I use my Sprint S620 on my Sony S560P and on my Macintosh Powerbook 17" G4.
All you need is the proper driver for each platform just as a printer requires specific drivers for each platform. |
