v620 on Powerbook - Connect script picking wrong modem

I've manually edited the kext files and gotten the v620 to work on my G3 Pismo.

But if I select the Connect from the toolbar at the top (am using OS X 10.3.9) and I see the familiar "Connect script failed".

Internet Connect shows the "Verizon (Main Number)" Configuration I created (and have had working), but it's not available for edits.

The Edit Configuration shows this configuration is selecting my "Apple Internal 56K Modem (v.90)". So I copy the script and change the modem -- I'm in.

But the Connect command continues to pick the wrong configuration -- how do I unlock this for edits?

Just to be complete, this is a setting under System Preferences -> Network -> (Edit Location) -> Modem

changed it there, no more problems.
