Very excited. Thanks for this site. I just bought a laptop and the Sprint Air Card. (dont have air card yet)

→ Sprint Mobile Broadband Card™ by Novatel Wireless™ (Merlin S620™).
→ Unlimited Data Plan: 59.99/month

→ Compaq Presario V5120NR
→ AMD Turion 64 Mobile Processor
→ 1.8 GHz
→ 80 GB
→ 512 MB

I'll upgrade the laptop soon. This was cheap for now.

Questions:

~ Is it easy to set up?
~ How can I tell how much total MB I've used?
~ How do I lock out other users from using my space? I'll have McAfee installed also.
~ Is that 14 day trial period still going on?

Thank You.

Yes. I was given a telephone number to activate my account, but I found that unnecessary. All you need to do is install the software. (Step 2 in the instruction booklet turned out to be unnecessary for me) Install the software, reboot the laptop and insert the card. You will get a pop up asking for your key or PIN (It's was the last #### of my social security) Dbl click the Sprint Connection Manager and click "Go"

The Sprint Connection Manager. Click on menu and click Device Info and Statistics. The Connection Mgr will display stats for your current session. If you are talking about total cumulative stats, I haven't figured that out yet.

I'm not sure you have to. The EVDO connection has a firmware and software signature to the network. Only if you share your connection with a router should you have to worry (not sure if that is allowed with Sprint, definitely not with Verizon)

Yes.

Thanks 5bars, very helpful! I can't wait to get it. It'll be funny when I can tell someone I made money trading stocks while I was driving, or on a boat, or at the beach. What would we do without technology?

Hey AF, just found another thread describing how to access your lifetime usage stats, plus a lot of other useful utilities at http://www.evdoforums.com/about1455.html

Nice. Guess I could have searched for that too. Thanks 5Bars. I guess I have to do it on a monthly basis to figure out if I'm using to much.
