I have a Verison PC 5740 with Verison and a Samsung A940 phone with Sprint. If I get an external antenna should I also get an amplifier? Also, will this help my phone reception? Where we travel now in a motorhome(fulltimers) we get reception with both but a lot of times it is weak.
Thanks in advance.

The 5740 has no external antenna port . and neither does the A940 as far as I know. The Verizon card perates on 800 and 1900 mhz. The Sprint phone operates on 1900 mhz. The only device that will help with reception on both devices would be a Dual Band Wireless amplifier/repeater. There are units on the market currently .Wilson and Digital Antenna have units on the market now.As with any amplifier product make sure you buy from a reputable dealer and they are willing to give you a money back guarantee if the product does not meet your need or expectations We hope to have ours out soon. |

No To intercepting messages WIFI and EVDO are on different frequencies. There are other EVDO cards that do have extermnal antenna ports , The Kyocera KPC 650 , Novatel V 620 , Sierra Wireless 580 , Audiovox 5220. The best card is the Kyocera |

An amplifier will help you greatly with an external antenna especially considering you will be in places in rural areas with poor coverage . Our amplifier is a fine product and many members here are using them . Booster-Antenna is also selling Wilson amplifiers which is also a good product |
