| We run a mobile laboratory and often send data and video streams back to campus. Does anyone know what the real data upload speeds are? We need at least 300 Kbps UP. Any problems using a Sprint card and KR1 for remote access? The server on the home site actually pulls data and video from our mobile lab. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! |

EVDO revision 0 (revision zero or 'rev oh') has a max upwards transfer rate of ~120 kbps (kilo bits per second).
EVDO Revision A will be faster and have lower latency, yet we will need both Rev A EVDO devices *and* towers to realize any benefits.

EVDO Rev 0 (the current one that Sprint & Verizon use), has a maximum of 144Kbps (nobody gets that speed), you will get 50Kbps - 100Kbps, and sometimes, 120Kbps.
EVDO Rev A (due next year) will increase the upload to a maximum of 1.8Mbp (probably average upload speeds to 300Kbps - 500Kbps) - that it the one that you will want. The latency will be much lower too.
So, it is impossible what you are asking now - BUT it will be here next year. _________________ EVDO :: EVDO News :: EVDO Antennas :: Buy Verizon :: Buy Sprint :: EVDO Amplifier |
