My Sierra Wirless 580 card was working just great under OS X 10.3.9, but when I recently upgraded to OS X 10.4x the info.plist files were returned to their original state, so the card no longer was recognized. Not a problem I figured. I went back in and modified the settings, and now the card is again recognized, However, Now the card will only connect immediately after a re-boot, and then for only about 30 seconds. I get an error message that says the remote host terminated the connection.

If I try to reconnect, I get an error message about "A modem error ocurred, please verify your settings and try again"

Again, this modem has been working FLAWLESSLY for several months, and only stopped working when I upgraded to OS X 10.4x (Tiger)

Has anyone else had this problem? If so, how did you resolve it?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Mike

Update: As I write this, I decided to try it again, and now it is staying connected. I'm almost afraid to disconnect. Is it possible that Sprint has a password failure lockout feature that locked me out for 20-30 minutes and has now been reset? I'm befuddled but up and running (for the moment)

Just updating last post, after being connected for about 15 minutes, the card did disconnect, and now will not let me reconnect without re-booting the whole system again.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mike
