Anyone know of any apps for the T700p that will keep the data connection from going dormant? I'm thinking a Palm OS version of the old Dormancy Killer app.

I'm not sure on the 700p as I don't have mine yet but on the T650 this can be done under...

Prefs>Network>Menu>Options>Preferences

Checkbox says... 'Connect to the data network whenever the phone is powered on'.

That option only does the intial connection to data services. On EVDO, once connected, there is both a high latency factor built into the connection as well as a high potential for dropped connection if the connection is not used. I'm looking for an app that continues to ping an IP address every x seconds.

Ah, the behavior might be different on 700p as my Sprint 650 does keep the network alive when that is checked. Are you on Verizon? Might be a Verizon thing.
