So I guess it's not free anymore. I'm not certain but I'd guess the device requirements may also apply to data roaming coming on Alltel as well.
Click link for maps.

Limited Time Offer, I wonder what the price will be after the limited time expires.
I also wonder if there is a way to activate this for a month and then switch back to the $59.99 or $79.99 plan, without extended the contract or other penalties, that would be cool for those traveling to Canada or Mexico. _________________ EVDO :: EVDO News :: EVDO Antennas :: Buy Verizon :: Buy Sprint :: EVDO Amplifier |

Hmm it says in the US as well. I really hope it isnt extra to start roaming on Alltel, that would be quite stinky. I personally dont care about "International" north and south data roaming, but domestic roaming is a biggie for me. Well, we shall see I suppose. I would hate to attempt to call customer service regarding this one.
Also found this at the bottom:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Service is available on select Sprint devices in select areas within Canada and Mexico. Usage is charged at $0.002/KB.
International activation required for voice when traveling in Mexico.
Offer expires 7/30/06. Requires a seperate voice plan subscription and purchase of capable Connection Card. International data roaming available only in countries specified on sprint.com. Premium content not available. Use as private line or frame relay service substitution, server or like equipment, or as substitute for private line or frame relay service is prohibited. Shared data not available.
$.002kb isnt terrible. It funny to see how there are ALOT more high speed areas in Mexico then in Canda, that is quite interesting noting that Mexico isnt as stable or developed as Canada. _________________
