|
|
Just ordered a KPC650 + evdo plan to replace my Treo 700w + Tethering
I'm looking at this and interested but have 3 questions.
http://booster-antenna.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=14&products_id=24&zenid=7d6d86c6d2ab2f6fc4b99e8343022eab
I want to get it as part of my self contain suite case for my laptop.
since I read some good comments about the antenna
My operating envirnoment is moving around brooklyn NY in a Uhaul type truck. and the suite case will be by the the drivers seat.
Need to find the measurements on the antenna to see if it will fit my suite case:
1- I have 3.75 in x 3.25 inches of room for the antenna.
(It will be placed where the Treo 700w in the picture is.). The Booster Antenna can be taken off the base to save space right?
2 - I would like to keep the antenna in the suite case lying down instead of standing up. that way I can quickly open and close my suite case when the cops come and it's time to move out. How well does it work in boosting my signal when it's kept lying down like that?
3- will my 3.25 inches of free space be able to accomindate this? with the card sticking out of the laptop and the antenna cable jacked into it?
thanks for your help. this eVDO forum have enlighten me alot. since 2 days ago when I stumbled into the VZW store and got the 5740 card |

| You are greatly going to limit the effectivness of that antenna lying it down in a brief case . Hardly worth the effort . Why not keep outside the briefcase on the dash or something and just unplug it when you shut down |

actually I am more intersted in the physical size to make sure it fits in my case..
I guess I can take it out and put it near the windshield |
