In a cost cutting mode I am thinking of dropping my Earthlink email account which I have paid $30 or so loyally all these years. Sprint, I believe, provides an email address with their phones.
Has anyone used the Sprint email account?
How does it compare to other accounts such as Earthlink?
Does it handle Spam well?
Recommend or not recommend?
Does it work well with the EVDO cards? |

GMAIL http://www.gmail.com Just as good if not better then Earthlink, and you get 2GB's + of storage! I dont use the Sprint e-mail personally. You can log in through their website and check your e-mail, as well as check on your phone. If you login to your Sprint account, it is called "My PCS mail". _________________

| Sprint mail works great with pop clients such as Outlook. I use it with Versamail on my Treo and it's fantastic. Absolutely no spam and that's what I love most about it. I had not given my gmail address to anyone and I started to receive spam on that one. It has a weak 2MB attachment limit but I don't think there's a storage limit. On my Treo I have sort of a push email setup where I receive notification the instant a message arrives to my Sprint mail inbox and it works great. |

| The sprint rep told me the sprint mailbox would only hold 5 mb of storage, so I got an outside address. It turns out that the sprint box actually holds 20 mb. But there is a fair amount of spam. My outside mail is with runbox.com. I like them. Costs $50 per year, which I think is very reasonable. No spam at all. And I forward my runbox mail to my sprint box and sprint texts me whenever I get an email, so I can check it on sprint mail on my phone, or go to my computer and check it on runbox. I got to the sprint webmail every so often and delete all the messages. |

| I use about three internet e-mail services, and have not had a need for Outlook client e-mail services in a long time. I have both hotmail and yahoo, and I signed up for a third one at www.walla.com. New users are eligible immediately for a 3GB mailbox. I just checked my own walla mail box and it's been expanded to 5GB. |
