|
|
Greetings:
I am a fairly new happy owner of the KR1, using Kyocera's EVDO card. I notice in several posts, that people are indicating (or seem to be indicating) that they can see the signal strength of the EVDO reception. Where do I go to see that when I am logged in as Admininstrator?
I can't find it. Of course for the WiFi side, I see that on my laptop. But I am wondering if we are able to also see how the KR1 is receiving the EVDO signal.
Thanks,
Norm |

Hi Norm,
Unfortunately there currently is no way to monitor signal strength from any part of the KR1's web configuration pages. Most likely, people are referring to either their Sprint PCS Connection Manager or Verizon VZ Access Manager software's ability to display signal strength.
Any of you without a PC Card slot in your computer (Apple iBook, micro PC, new notebooks with only the ExpressCard slots) will have no way to check signal strength until Kyocera/D-link make good on their promise to deliver a firmware update that displays signal strength within the KR1's web configuration pages.
We're hopeful that it will be soon. :] |

OK, thanks for your reply.
I must have misread a thread or two, then, and they were really referring to their WiFi strength on the laptop only.
