Very Cool , It has an external antenna port to connect to an external cellular antenna . I can see this being making a bigger spalsh than the KR1

Since, there are no shipping EVDO Rev A devices, I can assume this is EVDO Rev 0. As EVDO Rev A becomes important in 2007, is this user upgradeable to EVDO Rev A?

As I understand things Micheal, this will not be user serviceable at all.
Also it's primary function is to share EV-DO Rev 0 where the signal
is extremely marginal, i.e. on a boat in the middle of a big lake.

Although Rev A will give better pings and more upload, I'm pretty
sure that it will only give a neglible increase in downloads, so for most
people that would use this, it wouldn't matter.
