I am considering getting the new Kyocera card; I tried the service last summer and it was terrible on train between Bedford and Grand Central but it looks like coverage has gotten much better. Blackberry service (including internet access) has improved, so I am considering giving this a shot.

I spoke to someone today, and while I didn't get the exact train line, it sounded exactly like the same train you take. He was getting 2-3 bar EVDO signal the whole ride - makes that hour train ride productive (and fun).

I asked the person I spoke with to post all the details to this thread.

I bought the Kyocera card and started the service and I am pleased, good or very good reception for more than 90% of the hour's train journey. Infinitely better than it was last summer. I also bought a antenna, but have found I don't need it on the train. At home, it adds a bar or so of reception.

I was wondering the same thing! I'm commuting between New Haven and Grand Central. Both cities are covered, but how about in between? According to this map the whole commute should be covered. Can anyone confirm that?
