Michael,
Got the KR1 EVDO router tonight and it works great as promised.
I am ready to deploy the router to my clients.
Here are some speed test results from "www.speakeasy.net" using my Novatel v620 EVDO card.
KR1-WLAN=634d+112u ( wireless access )
KR1-LAN=870d+92u ( wired access )
Took less than 60 seconds to set up.

Dave, Thanks for the report - glad it is working out for you.
Forums like these are usually around to report problems and get solutions. Sometimes, a "hey it works great" thread is useful for people to see different items actually work! _________________ EVDO :: EVDO News :: EVDO Antennas :: Buy Verizon :: Buy Sprint :: EVDO Amplifier |

I got one of these last week.
I couldn't believe how simple it was to get this working.
I especially liked the service I got from these guy up here. I needed it quick, got it the next day, stuck my card in and 2 minutes later, it was working.
I am sure there are many others with this same story. |

I recieved my KR1 this week, plugged it in and bingo it worked, took me maybe 5 mins total.
I had researched my needs for my application which in particular involves creating a wireless/cellu;ar enviroment for my MotorCoach. Every time I went to jump and buy a unit, digicom, or anything else I was told its 6-8 weeks out before roll out. I called evdoinfo (booster antennna) and it was a simple 2 step order.
Verizon made it more difficult because I already had a pc 5740 card and would couldn't get me an appropriate card for use with the KR1. I merely activated a new service contract with the evdoinfo folks and upon arrival it was simple as 1 2 3 to access the net.
I will continue to report back, after I use the KR1 in my coach while on the road. |
