I am using windows 2003 - and the DMU keeps dying with an access violation on phoenix.exe.

1) can I fix this?
2) can I activate my card by hand - so I can just connect manually (and not use DMU) - the hardware drivers installed fine - and I can connect - I just get booted because i have not activated the card with verizon.

I visited the Dell website to explore its wireless options.

What's with this "Genuine Windows XP Professional" and "Genuine Windows XP Home Edition"?

Is Dell up to something I should know about? [wink, smile]

Is there a "Rev. A" update in sight?

Am I correct to assume that to get EvDO Rev. A one would have to install a new card?

Also, love the Wave Embassy trust suite provided with the D820. Very simple to set up and use. Great for auto-filling in passwords and stuff so that you don't have ot use the cookies. They are all encrypted and safe from hackers on your pc. Very nice Dell and Wave!

If you are auto-entering passwords etc be sure to lock down your computer so someone cannot just turn it on, go to a web page and see the passwords entered. Otherwise no amount of encryption will keep your password a secret.
