I realize there have been a number of changes lately as far as unlimited-tethering deals from Sprint and Verizon.
Right now, what are the smart choices as far as tethering with a PowerBook? I'm asking as far as
- speed
- price of the service
- price of the phone
- current and future coverage
My town (Birmingham, AL) currently only has Sprint as an EVDO choice. Supposedly Verizon EVDO will be available this summer.
Is it true you get better speed with USB tethering than Bluetooth?
Is this a smarter choice?
Can you tether with Sprint's Samsungs?
Is it smarter to just buy a PPC-6700 with Sprint because of the $15 deal (and the fact that supposedly Sprint can't tell you're tethering on that one?)
Can you USB tether with a Sprint 6700? Is this better/smarter than Bluetooth (I wonder about both speed and power consumption.)
Do any of the Sprint EVDO tether-able phones have iSync capability? This seems, to me, to be where Verizon's Motorolas have an edge, but you may know differently. |
