To let others be aware, I too was conned by Robert Kim and his Telepotence company. The offer was to buy a card and antenna from him and get a year's worth of $20 "service credits" so that the monthly charge would be $59 instead of $79 (this was before Verizon offered the lower amount on its own). Needless to say, I have not yet received ANY of these so-called credits. Numerous phone calls to Robert Kim and his associate Maureen are not returned. Emails to him get responded to in what appears to be an order from him to Maureen to "make this happen today" or "issue these credits immediately" but no real action ever takes place. It is going on one year now with this struggle. Verizon says they have never heard of such a program of service credits. A supervisor at Verizon took all my information but I never received a call back from anyone higher up who could help me.

I guess my next step is to try to dispute the original charge with my credit card provider, even though I am over the time limit. Also, if anyone knows how to contact a Better Business Bureau or Internet Fraud reporting site, please let me know. I'll make sure I get $240 worth of satisfaction back one way or another.

Our Robert Kim thread on EVDOforums, is now in the top 10 when searching in Google (#7), so those doing research will find it.

The real interesting part of your note.... Verizon is currently doing an investigation and has their Verizon legal department going after him. Verizon has someone "on the inside" helping them and I can tell you that Maureen hasn't been working with Robert Kim for some time. So, any email you see about "making it happen today", is part of the con - she isn't even working there any more.

i have previously used a site to report a horrible car dealer.

it's called bad business bureau, a take off of better business bureau

at the moment i can't find the bookmark, but you could probably do a search on it and find it. you can enter your situation and do updates on it too.

i also frequent epinions.com for researching products, maybe something can be reported on there
