The Novatel V620 Antenna Connector appears to be the same as the antenna connector on my Motorola V710 cell phone.

I received an External Antenna Adapter from cellantenna.com for the V710 to confirm. Sure enough, fits good and snug.

We have something like 17 Sierra Wireless 555s that we will be replacing with the Novatel V620, they are all being used inside Dive Van "Command Modules" that are converted horse trailers (essentially a metal box) so external antennas are a must.

I needed a drop in replacement, the cellantenna ones take it from the card to a mini-UHF connector, however for a little extra it can take it to TNC (the connector on the antennas already deployed)

So, theres my drop in replacement. All my sierra cards are out of contract now, and the corporate sales for verizon says I can get the new novatels as a replacement for free because of the credit for contract renewal. Already replaced one to totally test the scenario out.

Just wanted to get my order in to cellantenna before I posted to make sure I got mine before you all jump at it and order.

I'm going to shoot an e- mail to cellantenna telling them that they can now market that they have an adapter for the V620.

There are also a few threads up here already, that discuss which existing adapter cables work with the v620
