Cingular v551 bluetooth phone to computer problem

yesterday i tried to hook one of my customers phones to a computer.

the phone is cingular v551 bluetooth phone,the computer is a desktop on a boat sony viao about 1 1/2 years old with a linksys usb bluetooth adaptor.

i have wifi working fine on it with a linksys usb adaptor.

i got the phone paired to the computer with no problem,i downloaded the cingular connection manager with the wifi and installed it,i let it manage the wifi and that worked ok.

i tried to connect through the phone and it would not authorize,i called cingular and they had to set up account that was done and the connection still did not work i went to the first tech,he got the connection working but i could not load any web pages it would stall.we had good signal -59 dbm with or without digital antenna repeater amp.

so now he said what did i expect it was a really slow service he said and the bluetooth was also slowing it down.
i told him i have been using a sprint phone for years with about the same speed and it should work fairly well,i also now use a verizon card every day so i know what it should do.

i went to the next tech and got nowhere......

so she sent me on to the next tier (the last tier) we fooled around for about 2 hours and never got it working.removed accelerator,checked settings,reset winsock,fool with the aol crap,check firewalls,etc.........

my customer gave up at this point.......

only page we ever got to load was www.blue.org www.red.org would not load.

i must say cingular was pretty good to work with they were willing to go longer they did not give up.

any sugestions.......?

wow i just thought could i use my KR1 with this phone......?
