I am using my Verizon XV-6700 as a modem for my notebook (using latest version of PDAnet). Even though it says EV on the phone when I connect PDAnet I end up actually connecting at 1X speeds - a big drop-off in data transmission quality. Is there a way I can default my phone to connect in EVDO only?. I read somewhere there is that capability with the PC cards. I have already invested in the phone and would prefer not to have to purchase a PC card. Thanks in advance for your help.
