I just tried 255.255.255.255 as the primary HA and it did change my locale close to where I live (NH) rather than CA where my card defaulted to. Ping rate has dropped to the lowest rate I have seen (135) and upload speed surpassed 100 for the first time. I should mention I have a weak signal in a marginal Sprint area.

The secondary address needs to be a valid address in the list. Apparently it works this way with Alltel users and from what I can tell, Sprint users too.
I'll be traveling to FL tomorrow and will confirm if the HA changes to that region. |

Wow!
I have been trying to find time to try this.
Getting away from Kansas improved my thoughput drastically.
My EVDO-R0 avg (at the time of the test) was in the 600kb range, now I am getting over 2000, reliably!
Very cool!

I switched mine over to 255.255.255.255 this morning and dslreports shows me as area 3, but area 7 is much closer to me (I am in VA, so it would be NY vs MD). _________________ --Larry |

What is your secondary address? Are you connecting with SCM or another method? |

I am connected through my router, a WRT54G3G-ST running the stock v2.01.12 firmware. _________________ --Larry |

Hello everyone,
I am needing my MSL for my card. I can access the filesystem through bitpim and there is a NVM folder. But inside, there isnt another NVM folder. I have went through all the files and didnt see anything resembling it. Who knows, I may have missed it. Any ideas where it may be?? I will try to call sprint but if that doesnt work, any ideas??
Thanks |

If you purchased your Sprint card from 3Gstore.com, you can log into your account 24/7 and retrieve your activation and other codes (or just email us), otherwise, call Sprint for the info. _________________ EVDO :: EVDO News :: EVDO Antennas :: Buy Verizon :: Buy Sprint :: EVDO Amplifier |

| I emailed my provider and told them I needed the MSL to change my Home Agent. They emailed back with the MSL. |

| The number of the first post for Sprint level 2 tech support is no longer in service. Does someone have an updated number? |

Anyone tool around with the HA Addresses in Sprint SmartView? Has anyone set up the other profiles with diffrent ha address, so they don't have to type them each time they want to change the ha address? There is a diffrent user nai name under profile 0 and profile 1. Does anyone know which one is used when connecting to the internet? I noticed that both profiles have diffrent Pri./Sec. Ha Addresses. Wounder y they have diffrent names, since I would think the Profile # would be what would differenciate the 2 profiles. or if you can use any name for ther User nai? I noticed when I dissabled Profile 1. I could not get back into ##DATA after I saved and Exited out of ##DATA. I don't know if this is related to dissabling the profile or just bouncing in and out of ##DATA tooling around. or it could be just a bug. So I restarted my computer, and had access to ## DATA again. I noticed that profile 1 was enabled even though i had disabled it.Maybe it's time to revamp the ##DATA thread, so that it applies to Sprint Smartview. Seems to be out dated. Does anyone have any knowledge with the ##DATA with Sprint SmartView?
Thanks,

Make sure you are only changing the Home Agent not the Home Address. They are not the same and changing the Address will cause a problem. On my modem the Home Address stays all zeros. _________________ --Sprint EVDO-- |

For what it's worth, I just switched from Sprint to Verizon Wireless and according to the USB720 datacard, the HA used by the card is 255.255.255.255 and it does pick HA's close to me but not always the same one. |
