|
|
Hello I am having a problem with my Dell Axim x51v and Samsung A900. I have Sprint and the Phone As Modem Package and still cant connect to the internet using bluetooth. On the phone I turned on the bluetooth and turned on visibility. Then on the Axim I turned on bluetooth and made divice discoverable then went to divices New parnership It found my phone. I Highlighted it, clicked next, it asked to select services to use from this divice the only thing listed was dialup network I left it checked, on the com ports I have (com7) checked there was that or (com8) Then I went to connections/ my ISP/ add a new modem connection, under enter a name for connection I left it (My Connection) under salect a modem I tried both Bluetooth and Hayes Compatible on COM1. For the number to dial I entered #777 under user name I put sprint I left password and domain blank then I went to internet explorer tried to connect and nothing I get a cannot connect for unknown reason. I called Sprint Tech support He said that it seemed like I was doing everything right and that it should work. Can someone please help!!! I did not Disable the phone's modem NAI Because I have the phone as modem plan do I need to do this? Also I have the latest version on the phone ZA06.
Thanks |

Hi, I have used the A900 successfully on a Nokia 770 internet tablet.
Is the A900 responding to the request from the Axim when you activate the new connection you made on the Axim? |

On my A900, when I created the new connection, I had to use a packet data connection instead of a modem connection (which was also an option).
My A900 responded to the 770 in two ways: first, when I initiated the pairing from my 770, and second, when I initiated the packet data connection. |

Well today I took it to sprint and had one of the guys take a look at it. I didnt see exactly what he did but I guess he used the phone to search for the PDA and then paired them. Its working now. I can browse the internet on my PDA When I did it I used the PDA to search for the phone but never the other way around
Thanks |
