I am not familiar with macintosh scripting, so I'm not sure how this would be set up..

but assuming that mac modem scripting uses the at command set the way I remember it..

try this script.. athd*22899 (about 100-120 commas) +++

note that this has a delay of 2 minutes built in. this is so that the aircard has a chance to complete it's registration.

after you've done this, call verizon tech support at 888-308-5005, option 3, then option 1 (I think) and ask them to check your PRL on your account. if it was last updated on today's date, that means this activation was successful.

if this works it will be the workaround that users of the novatel v620 are needing. it beats having to put it into a wintel laptop to activate it.

Thanks for the tip.

if someone with a Novatel v620 can give this a try and post the results here.

You wouldn't need the atdt command, just replace #777 with

*22899,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

And then call Verizon support to see when you PRL was last updated.

If this works, it would also work with Sierra AirCard 580 and Kyocera KPC650 too.

tried with a wintel laptop today, the automatic activation didn't work. i'll have to play with the manual activation menus and figure out what menu options to use.
