|
|
If you purchased a laptop with embedded EVDO, you have to activate your embedded EVDO card BEFORE it will work.
You can activate your embedded EVDO card through us and:
- get it activated within the hour (not a few days)
- we will credit your account $50 (appears on your 2nd bill) - so you can save some $$
To activate your card:
On our order form select Unlimited Service Only, No Card purchase (already have card)
In the order notes, enter the ESN number of your card. You can get the ESN number, by launching the installed VZAccess Manager that was pre-installed on your laptop, and looking in the About Box.
The 11 digit number is your ESN (Electronic Serial Number), just enter that in your order notes.
We can activate your card within the hour too (not a few days)!
Also, if you want to try before you buy, we may have an available account that we can use to activate your embedded card, let you try it out for a few hours, so you can see it work, BEFORE you sign a 1 or 2 year contract.
If you have any questions, just contact us. _________________ EVDO :: EVDO News :: EVDO Antennas :: Buy Verizon :: Buy Sprint :: EVDO Amplifier

| If I activate my card through you, am I committed to a two-year contract for unlimited service? In other words, will I be able to change my plan to a pay-per-day plan after a couple of months? |

Yes, if you sign a 2 year contract, you are locked into a 2 year contract. The contract is with Verizon not us, so you would be locked in no matter where you sign up. Of course, you can "get out" but you would have to pay an early termination fee. _________________ EVDO :: EVDO News :: EVDO Antennas :: Buy Verizon :: Buy Sprint :: EVDO Amplifier |

| I remember seeing a thread somewhere that it can be switched between 1 laptop and an external USB EVDO via a web-based ESN switch app. If I were to sign up with a VZ EVDO account (USB device) now, and later on purchase 2 EVDO-equipped laptops (like Thinkpad T61 and X61T), can I activate and add them to the same account, and use the ESN switch utility to switch usage among the 3 devices? How long would that switch take? Can the ESN switch be done with Sprint as well? |

With Verizon (and Sprint I believe) you can switch the ESN number by calling in. The online MyBusiness management also allow this for business customers.
The switch is normally works immediately as long as the networks are not too busy. _________________ IT Wireless Mgr |
